Ben Collins MSc

Ben has a BSc in geology, and MSc in Earth and atmospheric sciences. Although he is interested in all aspects of natural history, his main areas of expertise are in sedimentary geology and palaeontology. Ben's work is focused on the application of petrography, geochemistry, and detailed facies analysis (including ichnology and palaeontology) to problems in energy and mineral exploration. Ben has experience working on clastic and carbonate reservoirs in North America and the Middle East, and has been involved in bedrock mapping with the Alberta Geological Survey. Outside of his work in the geoscience profession, Ben also serves as a volunteer firefighter in Central Alberta.
